I know I’ve already talked about the birthdays here, here and here. But when you’ve got a family of four kids, numerous pets and your own personal lives; birthdays are a dime a dozen around here! So as it’s birthday week here again, (yes I had a little birthday yesterday) I thought I’d share with you these 10 birthday party essentials I found on Pinterest this week!

Yep, as much as I love a good party, having quiet ones at home every second year is always a good idea!

Hope, this is a gorgeous post! Love the selections you’ve made and brought together so beautifully.
My absolute favourite is the paint your own fairy house! What a great idea. Activities at parties are such a treat.
I really enjoy planning birthday parties for my three, so will be favouriting this for later use!

Thanks Bron. I love the fairy house too, it’s so unique and magical and fun! Yes I love me some activities. It’s always easier to negotiate a cohort of kids when you’ve got a list of games and activities up your sleeve.

What a gorgeous collection, Hope! Maybe next year I’ll be organized enough to do some of these 🙂

I’m tossing up whether to have a party for Mr 4 this year or not…I do love organising stuff for it though! A couple of years ago he had a construction party and I managed to find goodie bags that were in the shape of tool boxes. They were so awesome!

Oh my gosh, tool box goodie boxes sound great. What a find!!

I want to come to one of your parties! I love planning my boys birthday, the hardest thing is deciding what not to include, Pinterest makes it easy to get overwhelmed with ideas!

So true Danielle. Pinterest can be so great for inspiration and ideas but it also can leave you a little unrealistic. And then there’s the envy.. yep. Sometimes those simple backyard parties are the best!

We’ve got a birthday coming up this week, but I’m not this fastidious with parties. I think some food, some fun, and some friends is all you need for a great party. 🙂

You’re right Jess, as long as you’ve got plenty of food and great company it’s set to be a winner! Good luck with the upcoming birthday 🙂

Yep, definitely all party essentials! Love the printable wrap! What a great idea. I have really only gone “overboard” once – last year when my son turned 5. This year we’ve offered to do something “special” with just him instead of having a party. I think every other year will suffice! -Aroha (for #teamIBOT)

The printable party wrapping paper is great isn’t it. Such a novel concept, so simple and so unique! I do like your idea of simple and special. I enjoy that myself too, I find they’re the birthdays you tend to really treasure. Thanks for popping by and commenting. xx

Some great ideas here! Rosie is turning 2 in less than a month and while I’m exciter about planning her dinosaur tea party, I am also very much in denial!
Oh my gosh, 2 already! She does love her Dinosaurs, what a grew theme! But yes I can completely relate. I was in denial and throughly depressed when Viv turned 1. I was happy and impressed that the little baby I once held was already 1 but also sad that she was no longer so little. So I can only imagine what it’ll be like when Rosie turns 2.
